THE FIRST STEP: I’M ENGAGED!
When a couple first gets engaged I always encourage my brides to ENJOY THE MOMENT & YOUR ENGAGEMENT. Many couples dismiss the joy of being engaged to jump right into planning a wedding. Here is a list of things to do right after your engagement.
http://compliantprocurementsolutions.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.html TAKE A SMALL GETAWAY. Like seriously! I recommend finding a nice hotel in your city or near area and just enjoy the weekend together. ALONE. My personal favorites on the higher end are The Post Oak , The San Luis, & Hotel Sorella. These provide multiple things to do on property. I also recommend quaint hotels in good locations such as the Beachfront Doubletree in Galveston, the newly renovated South Shore Harbor, & The Historic Tremont House. This will allow the couple to just hang out and begin discussing preliminary wedding plans.
why not try this out DATE A FEW WEDDING PLANNERS. The main point of a wedding planner is to have someone with industry knowledge to be in your We look out for YOU and end up saving you a COIN or two along the way. This will be another post in itself, but most importantly make sure that you find a planner that connects with you and your family. Most wedding planners offer a free consultation to discuss your wedding, so I encourage you to take them up on this offer & see if they are a good fit for you and your family!
PICK A NIGHT! In order to keep each other sane pick a night out of the week where you will seriously sit down and discuss wedding plans for an hour+. Couples can immediately transition into 24/7 wedding planning and sometimes you forget about your relationship. We have to keep the momentum, but also at a good pace. ROME WASN’T BUILT IT A DAY, and NEITHER WILL YOUR WEDDING PLANS. This also gives you the week to come up with your own ideas and talk about it collectively on your specified night.
